In Thailand,
there is a period that Korean pork was very popular
both in Bangkok and other provinces.

Korean grilled beef was also hot.
 But actually,
the Korean people in their own country have rice
and kimchi as a staple food.
They rarely eat meat because most meat is expensive
especially beef which is very expensive
as it must be imported from America.
Korean meals per day are often composed of rice, kimchi, soup,
and there may be some other side dish added.
 Meat like pork, beef and fish would be served only on some days.

But Thailand is the kitchen of the world,
 that export food as major product.  
So, it appeared at that time that Thai people eat Korean pork merrily
and became the funny meal of family,
comparable to the current middle class families
in Thailand eating Sukiyaki out together.

Korean rice is different from Thai’s.
It’s grain shape is round and thick .
In each grain there is oil as an ingredient.
Thai people will get fat easily if eat Korean rice much.
But as the weather of Korea is very cold,
a lot oil or fat consumption helps the body warm
that makes well balanced.

The technique to eat a Korean meal with meat is rice
and meat will be put together, wrapped with vegetables,
then dip in sauce available and put into mouth to eat.
By the way,
this urges the thought about eating Thai style, “Mieng”
(savory and herbs wrapped in leaves,
somewhat like an hors d’ oeuvre) as well.

Kimchi is something that the Korean cannot live without.
Almost hundred percent of the Korean have khimchi
to side with every meal.
Kimchi is any vegetable that passed a preservation process.
 Kimchi has lacto bacillus that helps digestion
and excretion system, as a result beautify your skin,
and also help solve oily taste when eaten with meat.

Kimchi has a hundreds of categories.
The same vegetable can be made as several kinds of Kimchi.
Most vegetable can be made as kimchi,
but lettuce and turnip are two kinds that are popular.
Apart of this, it is other vegetable such as cucumber, spring onion, etc.  

Kimchi can be divided into 2 major categories
that is plain kimchi which is dry and a little spicy,
and wet kimchi which is cold soup-alike,
not spicy as it doesn’t add any chili at all.
It is proper to eat in summer.
Good for solving the greasy taste of food. 
Sipping it’s soup is more suitable than chewing the vegetables.
Wet and dry Kimchi are different
in the duration of the pickled vegetables.

Kimchi was boom in Thailand
after the Korean series occupied Thai movie market.
