A Traditional Thai Music :

“Lao Pan”

Background of the ancient song,
Came from a war between Siamese and Laos, in the past,
When the ancient Laos,
which was one of the colony of Siam in that time
had moved the troops to Korat, a city of Siam
 with a hope of liberation.
In the end,
Lao army, had been defeat in the war,
been herd to Bangkok and been arbitrarily tortured
in the status of prisoner of war.
All suffering made the prisoners, Laos, were in trouble, seriously;
But being without any strong leader, made them to be badly beaten,
And has no hope to rise up.
Way out of them, just to express their affliction through out music:
The malice,  impatience, ache
and being in dire strait of the Laos in Bangkok, that time,
has been expressed through a song
and the song to be called  today by Thais as “Lao Pan”.
